The Crew

Who we are and what we do

Todd Kolich

Todd Kolich

President and Founder

Todd's the guy who started this whole thing back in 1980. Schooled as a cameraman/director coming out of Loyola University, New Orleans Todd didn't know much about the production business when he started, but how he's learned. In 30 years Todd has navigated KO-MAR to become one of the leading full-service production companies in Florida. Todd's expertise is shooting and directing. He's traveled well over a million miles around the world and loved every minute of it. "Where else can you get someone to pay you to do interesting and fun stuff?" At any cocktail party Todd has the stories to tell - from interviewing Mike Tyson to Margaret Thatcher, and Jamaica to the Soviet Union, he's seen it all.

Jim Gallagher

Jim Gallagher

Vice President and COO

Our “Head Coach” Jim oversees the day-to-day operations.  He’s also our Coach in the field, Jim’s directed, produced and written multiple National, Regional and local commercial campaigns.  Jim also serves as our Executive Producer on multiple network specials for CBS Sports, Golf Channel and Discovery Channel to name a few.   Prior to joining KO-MAR in 2001, Jim spent 20 years on-air in New Orleans as a Sportscaster and with the NFL on Fox.  He loves to Coach People to their fullest potential and occasionally still serves as cheap Voice Over talent.  Todd and Jim go way back, they were roommates at Loyola University in New Orleans. Fun fact Jim’s shot in 40 of the 50 states, last year he directed or produced projects in 14 states. But he never fails to return a call or an e-mail no matter how crazy his schedule is!

Stephanie Abrams

Stephanie Abrams

Senior Executive Producer

Stephanie made a few stops on her way to KO-MAR. She started out at ABC News’ World News Tonight and 20/20, and along the way became a reporter in San Francisco, writer and director of a few dozen series and shows for HGTV, Food Network, SyFy Channel, PBS, and MSNBC among others. Despite her small frame, she also managed to eat her way through field producing Food Network’s Diner’s, Drive-ins, and Dives. An admitted science nerd, Stephanie loves tackling high-end multi-media for multi-national technology giants. After surviving the coldest winter on record in Connecticut in 2015, Stephanie produced herself a path to KO-MAR.

D.J. Amerson

D.J. Amerson

Executive Producer

D.J. likes to pretend he's still in Hollywood but we have to remind him that Hollywood, Florida is not the same thing.  He's a local boy who went off to film school in LA, and gained invaluable film and commercial experience. He produced, edited, and directed music videos, commercials, and short films on the studio back lots; as well as live shows like YouTube Live Onstage.  He also worked for Yahoo, Fusion, and ABC News, including Good Morning America, Nightline, This Week, and World News - among many other stops along the way.  His media experience, production coordination and top-flight knowledge of the latest technology make him a powerful asset in the advertising/film industry.

Chris DeMaio

Chris DeMaio

Senior Producer

Chris is a graduate of the University of Miami and a South Florida native that parlayed a love of sports (including horse racing) to a career that spans more than 35 years in network television, including being an integral part of ESPN’s Emmy-Nominated productions of the Belmont Stakes and Breeders’ Cup. These days Chris specializes in golf production… making him an invaluable member here at KO-MAR for more than a decade. However, his skills have been used on many projects outside of our extensive golf portfolio, including infomercials, SMT’s, commercials, VNR’s, marketing videos and documentary production. His background working on literally hundreds of live events for ESPN, ABC, NBC and CBS has also paved the way for Chris’ work with GOLF CHANNEL on dozens of their live tournament broadcasts each year.

Paul Piasecki

Paul Piasecki

Director of Photography

Paul's our brilliant creative guy from the great Northeast. Born on the Cape in Massachusetts, Paul attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Paul DP'd a film feature while still in school that has become a cult classic - at least at KO-MAR that is. Paul is responsible for the "look" on most KO-MAR projects. He's got a terrific ability to light, shoot and direct. Paul's equally at home in the studio as he is in the field and his touch with light and detail makes him really popular here with our editors and clients... His greatest talent is imitating any one of us in the company and he also does the greatest caricature drawings :)

Michelle Flores

Michelle Flores

Director of Post Production

Michelle works to unify our team of editors in a creative and collaborative environment.  She sets the tempo by inspiring and leading a group effort.  As a senior editor, she brings together the many elements of an edit - video, graphics, sound effects, etc. - into a polished product every day.  Her distinctive editing style is defined by her use of music as a tool to illustrate a story and elicit emotion.

Devin Jinks

Devin Jinks

Production Director, Senior Editor

Devin's been with KO-MAR since 1997 - his first gig was working the '97 Baseball World Series. Since then Devin has climbed to the role as our Operations Director. It helps that he knows where all the bodies are buried! Devin is a tireless editor and has won numerous awards and honors. We love him because he has that eye for making a project extra special. A grad of Auburn University, Devin will probably be the guy who answers the phone when you call in to schedule or complain about an invoice. Be warned though, he's six-four 300+lbs... but really a teddy bear!

Anthony Angrisani

Anthony Angrisani

Videographer

Anthony is another special guy at KO-MAR- one who can wear many hats- they better all have Miami Heat and Miami Dolphin logos however! With us since 2008, Anthony can light and run audio, but he has a special eye for shooting. A graduate of Full Sail University, his first full-time gig was in the world of news, where he covered everything from hurricanes to presidential elections. Six years and a few Emmy nominations later, Anthony realized his talent in shooting and lighting could best be utilized at KO-MAR. Fun fact about Anthony, he has a wealth of useless knowledge in movie trivia. If you can't remember that 'one guy' who was in 'that movie' and said 'that thing,' Anthony will know who you're talking about.

Jose Flores

Jose Flores

Videographer/Audio Engineer/Lighting Specialist

Jose is our resident engineer who can troubleshoot our field equipment while under the gun with the constant threat of a looming detonator timer. While he has an encyclopedic knowledge of field equipment, resourcefulness may actually be his greatest strength - the practical application of ordinary objects to solve complex issues. When he's not busy exploring the finer details of the gear, you can find him saving the world with a camera, a few lights, and an audio bag.  And he does this all with a comedic storyline and a charismatic sense of humor.

John Olson

John Olson

Lead Designer/Animator

John Olson plays a critical role here at KO-MAR Productions, adding that special touch in post-production that transforms a project from an A to an A+. John continually pushes the limits of what 'ordinary folks' think is possible with design and animation. He can carefully create what a client is requesting, but all too often - he produces something that goes above and beyond expectations.

Mary-Jo Green

Mary-Jo Green

Director of Library Services

Mary-Jo adds to our KO-MAR crew that transplanted from the Midwest, coming from the "Mitten" state. A sports nut, Mary-Jo graduated in 2006 from the University of Michigan where she earned a BA in Sports Management and Communications. After learning the game of golf from her dad, she decided to turn that love of the game into a career. Working for the PGA of America, is where her career began as a tournament coordinator for the McGladrey Team Championship. She returned to Michigan to work for the Golf Association, where she assigned handicaps to wanna-be golfers. After realizing that it still snows there in the winter, she joined us as KO-MAR's director of library services for the PGA of Americas' 20,000 tape collection.
